This superb Seccessionist Royal Bonn vase dating to around 1900 is of typical Art Nouveau design. The vase is moulded and measures approximately 8.75"/22cms in height with a fluted neck and hexagonal foot. Hand enamelling has been applied to accentuate the Art Nouveau motifs. The colours of the glazes are wonderful and typical of the period.
The vases have the Royal BonnGermany backstamp, plus impressed and painted numbers. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
This outstanding German factory was originally founded in 1755 and the Royal Bonn name was used by Franz Anton Mehlem between 1836 and 1931. The factory was bought by Villeroy and Boch in 1921.
