These sugar tongs were crafted right at the start of the Edwardian period. They were assayed in London 1901. The makers were George Jackson & David Fullerton.
The tongs bear clear hallmarks of the Sterling Silver lion passant, the date letter 'e' and the London leopard's head. Half the GJ over DF mark has faded. The tongs are in excellent condition.
