This crested ware was made during the early part of the 20th century.  The miniature Rufus stone is in perfect condition and was made by W H Goss.  Crested for Ramsgate Kent. The three-sided stone is inscribed with the following to one side, and further information to the other two sides.

Here stood the oak tree
on which an arrow shot by Sir Walter Tyrrell
at a stag glanced and struck
King William II surnamed Rufus
on the breast of which he instantly died
on the second day of August anno 1100
